Specialist Menopause Support
For patients with more complex menopause needs, we are pleased to be working closely with Bedoc Healthcare Complex Menopause Clinic.
Patients can be referred directly to the clinic for specialist advice, assessment and management where clinically appropriate.

💊 Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) can be an effective treatment for many menopausal symptoms and may help improve quality of life during the menopause transition.
Our clinicians provide:
- HRT suitability assessments
- Initiation of HRT where appropriate
- Annual and interim HRT reviews
- Monitoring of treatment effectiveness and side effects
- Advice on the different HRT options available, including:
- Tablets
- Patches
- Gels
- Vaginal oestrogen preparations
🔄 Coil (IUD/IUS) Services
Coil fitting and specialist coil services are available through local partner services, including our Primary Care Network (PCN) service at Flitwick Surgery and the Bedfordshire ICASH service. We can arrange referral to these services where appropriate.

🩺 Cervical Screening (Smear Tests)
Regular cervical screening is one of the most effective ways to help prevent cervical cancer.
Our nursing team provides routine cervical screening appointments for eligible patients to help identify early changes before they develop into more serious conditions.
Cervical screening helps to:
- Detect high-risk Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
- Identify abnormal cervical cell changes early
- Reduce the risk of developing cervical cancer
